As a mum myself, I know the thought of a family photoshoot can feel like a lot, especially if you're worried about how the kids will behave or whether you'll feel awkward in front of the camera.
I'll guide you through everything from the moment you enquire: planning, outfit advice, gentle direction on the day, so nothing feels forced. Most families tell me it felt far more relaxed than they expected, and that they actually enjoyed it.
You don't need to have it all together. Just turn up as you are and I'll take care of the rest.

Reach out whenever you're ready. We'll talk through what you're picturing for the session, and find a time that works for your family.
To secure your date, there's a £50 retainer and a short contract to sign. Once that's done, you're booked in, and I'll send over a guide with everything you need to know so you feel ready rather than worrying about it beforehand.
Whether we're at your home or somewhere outdoors, I'll ease everyone into it gently rather than diving straight in. There's no strict shot list, we follow the kids' lead, and if someone needs five minutes to run off energy or grab a snack, that's part of the session, not a delay to it.
The best moments tend to happen in between the posed ones, so there's room for that too while I quietly get the shots that matter.
After your session, I’ll edit your images carefully and deliver your gallery within four weeks.
You’ll be able to choose your favourites, download your digital images, and order prints or products if you wish.
Nothing forced. Nothing overdone. Just your family as you actually are, photographed in a way that feels honest and true to you.

Where will our photos take place?
Most people pick the outdoors for their family photos, where kids can explore and be themselves. I've got a few favourite spots locally depending on the season and the light. If you'd rather stay home, that works just as well, and it often means more to look back on since it's where your children actually grew up.
What happens if my kids don't behave?
Don't worry, sessions are built around how your kids actually are on the day, not how you wish they'd behave. The wiggles and the meltdowns are usually where the best shots come from anyway, so there's no pressure for anyone to be on their best behaviour. We will go with the flow!
What should we wear?
You want to feel like yourselves, just a little more put together than usual. I'll send over a style guide with outfit ideas, think comfy layers and colours that work well together outdoors or at home. Don't worry about getting it perfect, we'll make it feel easy.
What if the weather isn't great?
I keep a close eye on the forecast in the days before your shoot. If it looks like proper rain, I'll be in touch to talk about rescheduling. Cloudy skies aren't a problem though, overcast light often makes for the nicest, softest images.
Is a family photoshoot worth the money?
100% YES! It's more than pictures. These sessions capture your family exactly as you are right now, which sounds obvious until you realise how quickly it changes. In a few years this becomes the record of a time you can't get back.
