Tasteful and timeless Maternity Photography in Essex

For women who want to remember what this season felt like

The anticipation. The quiet excitement. The moments where everything still feels just yours, before life shifts into something completely new.

Pregnancy is a beautiful mix of strength and softness. The way your body changes, the way you connect with your baby, the way you start imagining what life will soon look like.

These images will take you straight back to this moment every time you see them. Not just what it looked like, but what it felt like.

If you are looking for an Essex maternity photographer who captures this season with honest, heartfelt images that feel unmistakably you, you’re in the right place.

A mum to be cuddling her partner on a bed. He has his eyes closed and is kissing her head.

A quiet pause to take it all in before everything changes...

This is your moment to pause, to slow down, to take in all that your body is doing.

Every pregnancy carries its own rhythm. Some feel calm and grounded, others feel overwhelming with all the change, but each one deserves to be remembered in a way that feels real to you.

My maternity photography captures that connection. The softness, the strength, and the quiet anticipation that sits just beneath the surface.

My approach...

As a mum myself, I know how quickly this season moves and how easy it is to want to hold onto every part of it just a little longer.

My approach is rooted in simplicity, connection and real moments. I want you to feel comfortable, confident and completely yourself throughout your pregnancy photoshoot.
My sessions are relaxed, gently guided and never rushed. There is no pressure to perform or pose in a way that does not feel natural to you.

Instead, I focus on the small, honest moments. The way you hold your bump. The quiet connection between you and your partner. The anticipation that sits in the background of everything.

The result is maternity photos that feel timeless, emotive and true to you. Images that take you straight back to this beautiful chapter in your story.

Your maternity session should feel like you. That is why you can choose the setting that suits your personality and story best.

The best time for your maternity photoshoot is usually between 28 and 36 weeks, when your bump is beautifully visible, but you still feel comfortable enough to move freely.

At home maternity photoshoot

At home maternity photography is calm, natural, and deeply personal. It is about capturing you in your own space, where everything feels familiar and unforced.

These sessions are slow, relaxed, and focused on connection rather than posing.

What to Expect

1. Get in Touch

2. On the Day

3. Your Images

Get in touch and say hello, ideally a few weeks before your third trimester. We’ll talk through what you are looking for and decide whether an at home maternity photoshoot or outdoor maternity photography session feels right for you.

To secure your session, there is a £50 retainer and a simple contract. Once booked, I will send over a preparation guide so you feel confident, relaxed and fully prepared ahead of your shoot.

I’ll meet you at your home or on location and we’ll gently ease into the session. We take things slowly, so everything unfolds at your pace. There’s time for outfit changes and little breaks whenever you need them.

I’ll guide you throughout so you never feel unsure, but there is no pressure to pose in a way that doesn’t feel natural to you.

It is a calm, relaxed space to simply be, while I quietly document this part of your story as it unfolds.

After your session, your images will be carefully edited and delivered in a private online gallery within three weeks.

From there, you can choose your favourites, download your images, and order prints or albums if you wish.

Simple, natural and completely focused on your story.

She makes you feel so comfortable in front of the camera too, which me and my partner normally are not. But it felt easy and natural, and we are both so pleased with the finished photos.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is the best time for a pregnancy photos?

Most maternity photography sessions take place between 28 and 36 weeks of pregnancy when your bump is beautiful and round by then, but it’s not too close to due date that you’re feeling uncomfortable. If you're expecting multiples then it's best to plan the session earlier at around 26-32 weeks just to be extra cautious with timings.

Where does the maternity photoshoot take place?

You can choose an at home maternity photoshoot or an outdoor maternity photography session depending on what vibe you’re after. If you're unsure, let's have a chat and I can share some inspiration with you for different locations.

Can my partner or children be included?

Of course! Who is included is entirely dictated by you. Some women want to have photos by themself, whereas others want to include the family for their session.  Including family members feels more authentic and true to your story, but it's totally your call.

What should I wear for my maternity photoshoot?

Whatever you are going to feel comfortable and confident in! After you’ve booked in, you will receive a preparation guide which has lots of helpful styling tips and outfit suggestions to help inspire your outfits.
